ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Warehouse/Driver is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse while communicating any issues that prevents the plant from running at optimal levels. When requested to drive is also responsible for the daily delivery for all products as scheduled. As a driver is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the trucks and communicating any issues that prevent them from running at optimal levels. He/she will be held accountable for delivery a high-quality product in a timely manner. The Warehouse/Driver position is responsible for following all processes, policies, and procedures. Safety, Quality, and productivity will be a daily focus. The Warehouse position will communicate all relevant information to his/her team members as well as the supervisor.

JOB DUTIES
- Work on Job Site racking when all available product is staged
- Stage and organize all glass coming into the shipping area
- Ensure any items or product in area with past shipping dates, not label, or damage are communicated to scheduling manager and dealt with as needed.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure that all needs are being met
- Ensure all required orders are delivered and there are no back orders
- Help Will Call customers
- Effectively work in both a team setting and independently
- Operate forklift ? Certified
- Maintain work-flow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel, and resources
- Ensure all pieces are properly secured and communicate any issues to supervisor
- Work over-time as business dictates
- Driver in training ? work with delivery team to get trained on all aspects of being a driver.
- Once Driver training is completed, becomes the backup driver. Filling in for drivers as needed.
- Work in a safe manner, wear proper PPE, and follow all General Glass safety policies and report all injuries immediately no matter how minor
- Follow all traffic rules and learn any various state specific rules
- Ensure the truck is mechanically sound and ready to run route (tire pressure, fluid levels, lights & signals, etc.) Communicate any issues to supervisor immediately
- Perform pre- inspection each morning and properly fill out driver check-list
- Clean trucks daily both inside and outside
- Ensure all pieces are properly secured and communicate any issues to supervisor
- Require customers to properly sign shipping information and track any backorders or damaged glass to customer service. Turn in information to supervisor.
- Develop relationships with customers and communicate any on-going problems to management as they arise
- Properly document all return pick-ups to quality manager and ensure the return placed on the proper rack
- Be willing to assist in the warehouse as needed
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. unassisted
