DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Duties include, but are NOT limited to:
? Work semi-independently within a team environment to process verbal and written requests from distributors and other departments within Sterling.
? Accept phone calls and give price quotes for manufacturing services and answer manufacturing questions.
? Coordinate between all departments and facilities to assure customer satisfaction in product and deliveries.
? Resolve conflicts between customer expectations and delivered products.
? Correct and verify imprecise information and specifications on received orders and requests.
? Physical requirements include sitting for long periods of time, wearing headset.
? At least one year of phone based customer service experience preferred, have a positive upbeat attitude, like to be busy and challenged.
? Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment is a must.
? Professional verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to apply mathematical concepts and calculations a must.
? Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word are helpful.
? Must be able to type at least 30 wpm.
? Some outbound promotional, proactive and sales calls are required.
? Pre-write and enter customer purchase orders.
? Verify order specifications, pricing, copy, and shipping schedule.
? Translate into computer compatible format and enter information into mainframe computer system.
? Teardown tickets, proofread, and then distribute to appropriate destination.
? Verify all written and verbal instructions for accuracy.
? Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
? Hours ? full time, day shift 8:00 am ? 5:00 pm Monday ? Friday. Some overtime may be necessary for training, as well as to keep department caught up.
