Description

We're seeking Pharmacy Techs to fill a temporary need, roughly 3-6 months, this company is flexible to schedule work part time or fulltime depending on the Tech's schedule/preference covering for a team member out on leave.

Function as a Pharmacy Technician I for a team based, patient-centered primary care clinic serving insured and uninsured children and adults with a special emphasis on care for persons who experience barriers to accessing care due to income, language, cultural and social barriers. This position is responsible to perform all tasks related to filling prescriptions, as well as inventory management. Protect the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients and their families, as well as co-workers and others. Comply with HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, which includes team members, patients, volunteers, students, visitors, and vendors, by consistently exceeding the customer?s expectations.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Bilingual English/Spanish language skills highly desirable.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
National Pharmacy Technician certification; Licensed as Pharmacy Technician with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy; CPR certification

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Fundamental understanding of Oregon laws regarding pharmacy practice
? Demonstrated ability to work with and communicate effectively with all level of staff and patient demographics
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create solutions to problems
? Excellent organization and accuracy skills with attention to details and alertness to detect errors
? Ability to report to work as scheduled and willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate
? Non-judgmental attitude
? Excellent critical thinking skills
? Computer skills necessary to perform the essential duties
? Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
? Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Rogue Community Health
? Commitment to supporting and contributing to mission achievement, safety and risk management efforts, continuous quality improvement, and team based patient-centered care

KNOWLEDGE:
? Pharmacy practice requirements including laws related to OSHA, blood borne pathogen control, safety, and HIPAA
? Electronic medical records (EMR) and EnterpriseRx Prescription processing software experience preferable

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
? Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as a team member
? Demonstrated ability to interpret and comply with policy and procedures
? Respond in a manner that communicates respect, sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
? Remain calm and poised in urgent or stressful situations
? Maintain patient, employee, and corporate confidentiality
? Use Microsoft Office Suite products, including Outlook, with basic keyboarding skills
