Description

The Laser Operator is responsible for the daily setup, operation and maintenance of a CNC laser to produce products to meet the customers? specifications. They will also assist other CNC operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging. Our company is a custom Precision sheet metal fabricator. We are ITAR registered ISO 9001:2015 certified, AS9100 compliant. Our company is located in Springfield, Oregon.

? Operate and Maintain CNC laser in a production environment.
? Perform a first article inspection on all orders.
? Ensure parts meet company standards and customer expectations.
? Accurately and consistently complete paperwork and properly enter data in production system.
? Consistently look to reduce operational costs through maximizing material usage, beam on time, and industry best practices.
? Cross train on other equipment to allow flexibility.
? Perform material handling duties, including loading material and unloading completed parts.
? Follow established company and department SOP?s and maintain quality standards.
? Support the Quality System and Quality Policy by following procedures / work instructions to meet the requirements of the Quality System Regulation and ISO registration.
? Complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner
? Maintain sufficient output to keep pace with production
? Assist in improving work instructions and processes
? Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
? Interact with coworkers in a positive and encouraging manner
? Supports 6S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department?s performance board metrics.
? Keep workplace clean, tidy and in good condition.
? Return all tools and equipment to their designated spot after each use.
? Regularly inspect, clean equipment, notify supervisor and/or facilities maintenance immediately of machines or equipment needing repair or maintenance, and take any damaged or worn tools out of service.
? Other duties as assigned
