DescriptionMedical Business Office Support
You like a wide variety of duties and this position has it all. This 20 hour per week position will assist in the following duties as needed.
Medical Biller - Responsible for posting, collecting, and managing account payments. Determine codes for billing insurance claims or resolving denied claims.
Referral Coordinator - Responsible for responding to requests for protected health information from various entities in accordance with state and federal laws. Some activities may include referrals, prior authorizations, tracking referral orders, sending out order requests, obtaining authorizations, and tracking status.
Credit & Collections - Processes unpaid accounts by contacting patients. Assigns uncollectible accounts to collection agency. Executes all communications in a manner consistent with positive patient relations and excellent customer service to achieve prompt and accurate reimbursements. Responsible for using collection techniques to keep accounts receivable current, including the monitoring for delinquent payments. Exhibits values of respect, integrity, innovation and compassion.
Patient Services Support - Supports the Patient Services Supervisor by screening and enrolling new patients either by phone or in person, and performing specific insurance verifications. Direct communication between the Credit & Collections coordinator and Patient Services is the expectation.
Job RequirementsEducation Required: High School
