Personnel Source is looking for a Temporary, full-time, Driver Recruiter for a large local trucking company.
Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional Monday coverage from 7am-4pm. Covering a maternity leave (slight possibility for temp to hire)
Recruiters perform a critical role in growing a driving fleet of safe, service oriented driving professionals. As a Recruiter, you will pro-actively recruit, screen, and hire qualified drivers in approved geographic regions and in accordance with company needs and guidelines, DOT regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws. You will recruit a combination of experienced & student drivers and owner operators. This position will perform back ground checks, run MVRs, and will help with orientation. This position must become competent in the entire hiring process, from the initial driver contact through the completion of orientation.
This position deals with a wide variety of people and high volume of phone work. Thus the individual must have excellent people and phone skills, be able to sell the company, and make the determination between qualified and unqualified applicants. This person must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, organization skills, computer entry skills, be a self-starter and demonstrate success working with little direction. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Knowledge of the trucking industry is a plus.
