DescriptionNature of Work:
Responsible for all job-related clerical functions associated with document control to include distribution of documentation necessary to the production process. Responsibilities also include completion of all documentation necessary to the successful completion of the production assembly process. Responsible for all functions of the Material Review Board process. Reports to the Quality Manager.
Duties and Task Statements:
? Analyze customer documents to determine file content.
? Log in and distribute supplementary data associated with the documentation control process for the purpose of control and distribution.
? Process engineering change order to ensure changes are made accurately and timely.
? Assign internal ECO numbers to changes as necessary, and maintain the ECO log.
? Interface with Program Managers, Buyers, QA and Engineers to ensure the successful completion of the production process.
? Resolve non-technical questions with Program Managers and/or Management, as necessary.
? Aid in the proper training of new Documentation Control personnel.
? Answer questions from, and explain daily operational procedures to new Documentation Control personnel.
? MRB Coordinator, maintain the Material Review Board Log, and Discrepant Material Reports.
? Receive and close all Purges
? Additional duties as assigned.

Formal Interaction with Others:
Interact with staff members of the Documentation Control Department as well as various other departments within the company. Communicates with the Department Manager to obtain instruction, assistance and communicate concerns. Communicates with Purchasing, Account Managers, and Engineering to establish timely delivery of new documentation and/or upgrades.
The work setting consists of an office environment with suitable lighting and comfortable temperatures. The work area is subject to a minimal noise level. The work schedule consists of a five day, 40 hour workweek with overtime dependent on department needs.
Education and Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Documentation Control experience is desirable. Must have computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office. Manufacturing experience is beneficial for the position. The employee will be required to successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidate must display a willingness to identify system problems and provide solutions. Organizational and time management skills are needed to ensure proper and timely service to production for all assemblies. Problem solving skills are necessary along with the ability to communicate solutions and ideas to appropriate Documentation Control personnel. Interpersonal skills are necessary in order for the candidate to successfully work with a variety of people throughout the company and with customers and/or vendors. Attention to detail and accuracy are required throughout the Documentation Control process.
Candidate will be able to load and update data in MAX/Synergy. May be required to lift 40lbs periodically. Candidate must work safely at all times and maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
