DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Ability to multi-task incoming phone calls for credit release or credit hold.
? Monitor all trade receivables and collect on past due accounts.
? Troubleshoot problems with customer accounts, e.g. billing, cash application, service charges.
? Prepare daily deposit.
? Research and start the process on payment deductions.
? Prepare and process needed adjustments.
? Monitor all accounts on special programs with SBF.
? Monitor and process in-house jobs for proper accounting classification.
? Liaison with collection agency.
? Prepare credit profiles for potential new accounts.
? Prepare daily sales reports.
? Attend and report at monthly accounts receivable meeting.
? Reconcile trade receivables monthly, review service charges, review statements.
? General clerical tasks such as file, pull job tickets, and compose/develop correspondence.
? Special projects as assigned.
? Excellent organizational skills mandatory.
? Must be able to operate/use the following equipment: Computer (mainframe and PC type), 10 key adding machine, telephone and telephone head set.
KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to use arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), standard office filing systems, written business correspondence formats, basic accounting principles, basic statistical applications, and complete understanding of Credit/Collection laws.
