Description

The Patient Services Rep Medical is responsible for greeting patients at the front desk, answering telephone lines, verifying patient insurance, and providing support to the team.

Accountabilities Include: Performs Essential Job Duties
? Provides information and other appropriate paperwork to patients with verbal instruction on how to complete the forms correctly.
? Collects accurately confidential, sensitive patient information used for federal grant reporting.
? Enters pertinent data from completed client paperwork into a computer database for charting and reporting purposes.
? Assigns accurately payor source to each qualifying patient visit.
? Assess all incoming patients toward determining eligibility for healthcare grants and services.
? Check-in patients for scheduled appointments live or via a virtual platform.
? Coordinates with clinic staff to determine availability for non-scheduled appointments and ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.
? Performs cash handling responsibilities including preparing receipts and collecting money for services and preparing daily deposit.
? Orders and maintain inventory of forms and supplies.
? Creates and update forms, type and prepare correspondence, and maintain front office desk manual.
? Follows workflows that result in capturing activities to meet patient engagement standards as outlined in the APCM program.
? Responsible for outreach efforts to ensure continuation of OHP eligibility and engagement in
services.
? Completes assigned trainings via learning module systems (Relias) by required due date.
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy; work productively both independently and in a team setting; communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing to groups and individuals.

Education and/or Experience: Required:
? Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
? Six months of work in a medical office setting or one-year experience in high volume direct public contact setting
? BLS HealthCare provider (BLS Certification)
? Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
? Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise and positive outcomes in difficult interactions
? Skilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work (EPIC) Preferred:
? Basic knowledge of adult learning models

Language Skills:
Must have the ability to communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing; read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, regulations, policies, and procedure manuals; and create professional business documents.
? Speak conversational Spanish
? Read and comprehend instructions
? Read and write short correspondences, and memos
? Effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group setting to customers; patients and other employees of the organization.

M-F 8:30 to 5:30
