Our Vancouver office is currently recruiting for a temporary office position in NW Portland.
The Assistant Relationship Manager provides support for Commercial Loan Department including analyzing financial information from applicants, performing required monitoring, and acting as liaison between the customer, RM’s, other internal departments and various outside agencies.
Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Maintain Fluency in banking industry regulations. Work well as a part of the team in a professional setting. Must exercise accuracy, alertness, good judgment courtesy, tact, and patience. Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet, Banking related software.
Individual will perform work under the direction of the Small Business Loan Manager. Criminal/Drug free environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all service level expectations are met as stated in the client customer's policies and PRIDE program
- It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes
- Follows Bank guidelines to comply with Patriot Act, Customer Identification and Privacy requirements
- Spreads and/or analyzes financial statements of potential and existing customers utilizing the bank’s analytical credit criteria
- Analyzes financial data related to new and renewal loan requests, including lines of credit, asset-based lines, commercial real estate and equipment financing loans.
- Creates credit memo outline including researching existing account balances, collateral and related debt
- Creates initial credit file and organizes documents appropriately
- Reviews entity documentation and alerts RM of deficiencies and/or conflicts
- Performs annual term loan reviews
- Monitors compliance with loan agreement covenants
- Monitors asset based lines for compliance to operating provisions
- Monitors expiring lines reports and generates letters as needed
- Assists with collateral substitutions, subordination requests and other change in terms requests
- Prints past due reports and distributes to RM
- Produces appropriate loan reports, packages, checklists and forms for initiation of loan documents
- Follows up with customers to obtain all necessary information or clarification on financial information
- May make initial contact with past due borrowers
- Assists Relationship Managers in managing day-to-day details for larger relationships, maintaining contact with clients and resolving issues.
- Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity
- May work with attorneys and other financial or legal resources to obtain correct and accurate documents to fully protect the financial institution’s interests in the credit relationship.
- Acts as liaison between RM and other departments, as required.
- Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned
